DDR 1st Mix, 2nd ReMix & Best Hits Doubles Mode Playthrough [Another & Maniac Difficulty]
My playthrough of DDR 1st Mix, 2nd ReMix, & Best Hits. First of all, yes, 3rd Mix will be played and uploaded as well (after this video in fact), I'm just getting this out of the way first. In 3rd Mix, the 2nd Mix Konami originals appear as unlockable songs, but NONE of them have Maniac double charts simply because they only obtained them once the arcade version of 4th Mix came about. This means that "Love This Feelin'", the only unlockable 3rd Mix song I haven't covered on other games, only has "Trick" as it's highest doubles mode difficulty, so rather add that one oddball in the 3rd Mix video full of Maniac charts, I decided to stick it in this video. Speaking of which...
Second, regarding Best Hits, since it was released 4 months after the arcade version of 4th Mix, the 1st Mix & 2nd ReMix songs that didn't have Maniac double charts now do. Considering Best Hits is nothing more than a "compilation package" game in Japan (since they pretty much have every single DDR game over there), I figured the added double maniac charts to the older songs was an excuse to play the game. Unfortunately, "Strictly Business" is the oddball out since it was only a 1st Mix (Home Console) due to licensing issues with EPMD, so that song is the only song from 1st Mix in this video. If there ever came a time where I'm able to record any of the post 5th Mix games (since the roms for MAME are poorly emulated + no "BEMANI System Digital 573 Hardware" support and PCSX2 stutters like crazy on my computer when i try to capture video for it), I'll give these songs a second go in a "Updated Harder Charts" video or something.
Third, in 1st & 2nd Mix, the arrows are always flat. Vivid didn't become a thing till 3rd Mix, so for consistancy sake, I made the arrows flat in Best Hits. Lastly, the following songs have been ommitted:
