Jeremy Corbyn has confirmed he'll stand as an independent candidate in the General Election - against the party he once led.
As a result, he's automatically been expelled as a member of Labour, which suspended him in 2020, over claims that complaints of anti-semitism in the party had been, in his words, 'dramatically overstated for political reasons'.
The former Labour leader says he'll run as 'a voice for equality, democracy and peace' in Islington North, which he's represented since 1983.
