“Traveler Food And Books” Union, CT

Gary Lovisi And Paperback Parade features a grab bag of Mystery Paperbacks from “Traveler Food And Books” in Union Connecticut, a restaurant that is also a book store. It is also known for giving away books for free to all of its customers! Originally started in the mid 80’s by it owner Mark Doyle, who it is said, began giving away books from his massive collection in an effort to clear out some of the excess. In 1993 new owners Karen and Art Murdock took over and expanded the tradition and established a full book store and depository for unwanted books! If you dine in the restaurant you are given three free books, you get one with a takeout order!
