Golubac Fortress (Тврђава Голубац) is located in Golubac, Serbia is approximately 130 km (or about 81 miles) from the capital city of Belgrade. Golubac Fortress is a medieval fortress that was built in 14th century (1301-1400) Serbia. Golubac Fortress consists of 10 towers which are mostly square. The Danube River at the fortress location is as wide as 6.5 km (4.0 mi).
