We mean no disrespect with exposing imposters, but that seems to be an inevitable outcome to some.. It’s a classic situation where you don’t shoot the messenger, look to the source and confirm it for yourself, even if looking into these things can be tricky when the truth has been shrouded for centuries under concealment, distortions, and mystified stories surrounding the history of not just st Patrick, but who he was ordained by and the whole empiric colonizational encroachment of the Catholic Church & co..
But this segment doesn’t go deep into detail about all that, so I’m leaving a few notes and excerpts below. In general it’s important to at least acknowledge that St Paddy’s day was a commercialization tactic as well as displacement of native practices honoring the Spring Equinox.
Our discussion today focuses primarily on awareness- of who we truly are in relation to everything outside of ourselves, yet understanding beyond the simple "as above so below, as within as without" phrase.. There is much more to learn about the Law of Correspondence, spiritual alchemy and astrology an we've been deeply honored and grateful to understand these things deeper as we continue our personal life journeys and what we continue to work on here with Dissolving The Divide.
I was joking to myself thinking about a title for this one, like “how to avoid getting knocked out by an Irishman when exposing st Patrick and his inverted holiday’. But that’s quite the mouthful and misleading since we didn’t really talk about methods much. Rodney spoke about more important matters, but made some brilliant quick points about the truth regarding st Patrick. So I couldn’t have a fun go at a catchy title like how st Patrick put the sham in shamrock.. I think composed simple talk can get through to people, even at a pub on the 17th of March sipping on a green tinted beer- depending on your geographical location.. Not like this will solve the world’s problems, but it’s good to know the origins..
