First Wave Movement Condemns Paria Fuel Trading Company and Government's Indifference

First Wave Movement Condemns Paria Fuel Trading Company and Government's Indifference
In the wake of the tragic incident that claimed the lives of five courageous divers on February 25, 2022, The First Wave Movement, under the visionary leadership of Umar Abdullah, vehemently condemns the apathy displayed by Paria Fuel Trading Company and the government. The findings of the Commission of Enquiry, indicating gross negligence on the part of Paria, have left us appalled.
The report highlights Paria's failure to recognize the latent Delta P condition, leading to the tragic loss of four lives. The non-delegable duty of care was breached, and the families of the victims were subjected to insensitive treatment during the aftermath. The revelations from the Commission leave no room for doubt – justice must prevail.
The First Wave Movement extends its support to the families who endured almost two years of agony, only to be presented with a 520-page report, "empty words," "false promises," and "hollow compliments." Government's callous allocation of $15.7 million. Shockingly, some of this hefty sum was not directed towards compensating grieving families but was instead expended on the Commission of Enquiry and associated expenses.
It is both disheartening and infuriating to discover that the substantial financial resources were channeled into bureaucratic processes rather than offering solace to the families who endured almost two years of suffering. The government's priorities seem to lie in protecting its image rather than addressing the profound pain and loss experienced by those directly affected.
Nothing but a cascade of broken assurances. Our government appears to lack the compassion and commitment required to address the pain and anguish of those affected. This is not just a corporate failure but a reflection of a system that prioritizes profits over people," states Umar Abdullah, Founder and Leader of The First Wave Movement.
The Movement urges citizens to unite against such injustice, to demand accountability, and to rally for comprehensive changes in our safety regulations. The call for Corporate Manslaughter charges against Paria is not just a legal necessity but a moral imperative.
This is a blatant disregard for the human toll of the tragedy and exposes a lack of empathy within our governing bodies. The Movement calls for transparency and accountability in government actions. Funds should have been allocated to provide genuine support to the affected families, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they urgently need.
Join us in our fight for justice. Stand with The First Wave Movement, as we strive for a society where the value of human lives outweighs corporate negligence. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no family has to endure such heartbreak due to the negligence of those in power.
The First Wave Movement remains steadfast in its commitment to advocating fo
