Gourmet Sentai Barayarou (1995, SNES)

Gourmet Sentai Barayarou (美食戦隊薔薇野郎, "Goumet Squadron Rose Rascals") is a beat'em up developed by Fupac and Winds, and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment. It was only released in Japan until 2019, when Piko Interactive released the game under the title Gourmet Warriors in English. The JApanese version was also re-released in 2018 by BlazePro.

There are three characters to choose from. The game can be played in single play mode or two player co-op mode. In single player, you can pick up an item which will created a doppelgänger of your character. The doppelgänger will fight enemies independently and vanish once his health has reached zero.
Basic commands are punch, jump and pose. I don't know if posing has any effect at all.
Unlike most beat'em ups, you only have one life. You can continue in the last section you have played, however, but you have to do it all over again. Enemies leave behind food ingredients which you can give to robet chef after a level. Depending on what you give to the chef, you will get a different dish which replenishes a part of your health. There seem to be no classic health power-ups during the levels.
