You have to listen carefully, but in this video Tasha Williamson justifies the violence in La Mesa on May 30, 2020, because it forced the City government to listen to their demands. They burned down La Mesa in order to punish an innocent police officer. It was a riot, looting and arson attack.
At about 2:25 she says, "You have to understand what it took to get here today and that level of violence was what it took to get here today."
At about 4:39, she says, "We should already see justice and we don't and until we do we will continue to see what we got over the weekend. (BLM and antifa burned downtown La Mesa and tried to burn down City Hall and the police station over the weekend.)
Here most important immediate demand was for La Mesa to fire and charge, Matt Dages, a La Mesa police officer, who arrested a black man, Amaurie Johnson, a few days before the attack on La Mesa. The arrest was used to justify the attack.
Under pressure from BLM, Dages was eventually charged and prosecuted for a felony of filing a false police report, but on December 10 2021 he was found innocent by a jury.
Two years earlier Tasha Williamson threatened to burn down National City, another suburb of San Diego, if they did not fire their police chief.
