I have gone onto https://www.picturesheffield.com/ to pull this video together. I recommend going onto Google maps first if you are unfamiliar with the area. The pictures seem to prove that the building was in fact built in 1897, however why very few images of the construction and no pictures of the building from the Peace gardens or Union St around the back. Something doesn't add up. The town hall was extended in the 1920s, but we didn't replace our bombed buildings during the was as Germany did in the 1950s.
