On the 28.2.2023, the TGA made an announcement of the withdrawal of 55 medicines, including 44 from chemist shelves e.g., Codral, Bisolvon, Benadryl, Duro-Tuss dry cough syrups; for safety reasons - due to the combination of Pholcodine ingredient mixing with general anaesthetic causing anaphylactic reactions.
