Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Playthrough Part 12
Continued to gather the missing Waddle Dees. One challenge which gave me some trouble was in The Battle of Blizzard Bridge level where I had to beat 2 Wild Frosties without getting hit. It's challenging to keep track of both of their attacks. They are also quite fast. First thing to watch out for is the charge - it's best to wait near a wall, otherwise they can change directions even after you dodge it. Then it's the body slam, being a bit unpredictable. After that is done, it's a good opportunity to deal damage, but you have too keep an eye on the other Frosty. When he starts throwing snowballs you can use the other one's body as a shield while dealing damage. Usually the no-damage challenges can be easy with the ice power since its block is invulnerable, but the Frosty has a move which grabs you and is unblockable, so I decided to go with the dragon fire, which is killing them faster. Their giant snowball leaves a trail of ice behind, so making it in a pattern which you can escape is essential. With all that said, it does take a bit of luck. It's annoying that they are the last boss in the level, so every time you fail you have to start from the beginning again. Eventually I got annoyed and took an attack boost potion to kill them faster, so that they have less opportunities to bust out one of their random attacks. This worked. One thing to mention is that this level has a hidden path where you climb on top of the bridge and then you have to fight a twin version of all the bosses you normally do. They are also tougher and sometimes there are canons shooting at you. I advise against trying to do this challenge via the secret path - it takes way longer and it's much harder. The King Dedede no-damage challenge was significantly easier, but the damage potion was still useful (plus it also helps for the time challenge).
In The Wastes Where Life Began level I found the Crystal Needle blueprint, but I didn't have enough rare stones to evolve it and do the corresponding challenge, so I went to the Coliseum to grind some. Here I realised that the upgraded sleep power can give you a double health bar as well as a damage boost of 200 seconds. I also realised that the Time Crash is useless against bosses - unlike the regular Crash its explosion doesn't do any damage.
