Mario Vs Donkey Kong - Playthrough Part 6

Merry Mini-Land Plus had a lot of the wind streams and this time around you had to guide the mini-Mario with them. This culminated in a fight against Donkey Kong, where you have to utilise the streams to send a barrel at him. This one was pretty tricky since he switches the colours rather quickly and I ran out of time once.

Spooky House Plus had a lot of situations where you had to freeze the shy guys to create a path for mini-Mario, which can be fiddly. The boss battle with DK was in a similar vein - you wait for him to ground one of the Shy-ghosts, then pick it up and use it as a weapon, while avoiding the falling spikes. There is a bit of randomness giving their movement patterns, but once you get into a good rhythm it can go smoothly.

The frozen levels of Slippery Summit Plus had me stumped a couple of times because I forgot to utilise the momentum on the ice by crouching and passing through tighter spaces. This is the same for objects and mini-Mario. The encounter with DK is pretty similar to the easier version of this world, but there are extra icicles falling from the ceiling.
