Liedtext:
Im Wald, im grünen Walde, da steht ein Försterhaus.
Da schauet jeden morgen, so frisch und frei von Sorgen,
des Försters Töchterlein heraus.
Tiralala, halli-hallo,
Tiralala, halli-hallo,
Tira tira Tiralalalala,
des Försters Töchterlein heraus.
Refrain:
Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore,
schön sind die Mädel von siebzehn, achtzehn Jahr.
Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore,
schöne Mädel gibt es überall.
Und kommt der Frühling in das Tal,
grüß mir die Lore noch einmal,
Ade, Ade, Ade!
Der Förster und die Tochter,
die schossen beide gut, beide gut!
Der Förster schoß das Hirschelein,
die Tochter traf das Bürschelein
tief in das junge Herz hinein!
Tiralala, halli-hallo,
Tiralala, halli-hallo,
Tira tira Tiralalalala
tief in das junge Herz hinein!
---
English translation:
In the forest, in the green forest,
there is a forester's house.
Every morning, so joyfully and free of worry,
the forester's daughter looks out.
Refrain:
Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore,
The girls of seventeen or eighteen are beautiful.
Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore,
There are beautiful girls everywhere.
And when spring comes to the valley,
then say hello to Lore from me once more,
Farewell, farewell, farewell!
The forester and the daughter,
They both shot well!
The forester shot the deer,
The daughter hit the boy
deep in his young heart!
